Effect of Clovinol® on metabolic syndrome

Clove bud (Syzygium aromaticum L.) polyphenol helps to mitigate metabolic syndrome by establishing intracellular redox homeostasis and glucose metabolism: A randomized, double-blinded, active-controlled comparative study

Journal of Functional Foods, 2022

No of subjects – 70

Dosage – 250mg/day

Result – Clovinol enhanced the plasma concentration of GSH by 6 fold and offered statistically significant enhancement in Nrf2. Also, treatment with Clovinol also improved FBS, PPG, HbA1c, HOMA-IR and insulin levels indicating modulation of insulin resistance. In addition to these, Clovinol caused a significant reduction in total cholesterol, triglycerides, LDL and increased HDL

Journal of BMC Complementary and Alternative Medicine, 2019

No of subjects – 13

Dosage – 250mg/ day

Result – Clovinol® was found to maintain healthy glucose metabolism
